Set of 11 Arkadia Dessert Plates

This is a set of eleven plates made by KPM during the mid 20th century. They are from the Arkadia service which is known for it's sleep design and off course unglazed medallions. Here we have the dessert plates which are fully glazed except for that superb medallion on the rim of a mermaid! Just fun and it looks great plus it's one of the few services that are easy to use since there is no gilding or painting to wear off. We use ours often and even put them in the dishwasher and they've lasted ages already. The 11 plates are in perfect condition and there is an extra plate that has a chip to the rim as shown. Still usable - we give the chipped ones to the kids :) Each plate is about 0.75 inches tall and 8.125 inches in diameter. Each is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter with the letter S under it for the Selb location plus some of the usual impressed marks as shown. First choice.
