Angel / Cherub Scene Snuff Box

This is a rare porcelain patch / snuff / pill or tabacco box made in the Art Nouveau period by KPM around 1900. The top of the lid has a hand painted scene of two putti / cherubs / angels wearing a pink or green cloth while relaxing on a cloud. The scne is surrounded with some nice gold trim. The bottom as well as the front, back and both sides of the box have some superb flowers hand painted on them as well as some more superb gold trim. Nice shape to the box and there is a single flower to the inside lid and inside bottom as shown. The box is marked on the inside back with the red orb mark as well as the under glaze blue scepter. The nicely detailed metal mounts are probably bronze or brass. The box is in perfect condition with the teeniest of wear to the bottom and some oxidation to the mounts. The piece is 3.25 inches wide, 1.75 inches tall and 2.375 inches deep so a nice size. It closes perfectly. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1999
