Angel Scene Plate

This is a superb plate made by KPM in the 20th century. It is the rarest decoration of these types of plates - you often see the fruit designs, some flowers, rarely a tree but the angel scenes you almsot never come across. The plate is hand painted with a scene in the center of two angels sitting in some clouds. They have a scroll by their side and are covered in a red / yellow cloth. Great quality piece and quite decorative when combined with the raised gold design along the rim. The plate is in superb condition with a bit of dirt and wear to the gold trim and a thin scratch to the red cloth. The piece is about 1.125 inches tall and 8.5 inches in diameter so a nice size. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter, the red orb mark as well as the usual impressed and painter's marks. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
