Superb Reticulated Basket

This is one of the nicest reticulated baskets I ahve ever seen made by KPM in about 1913. It has a really nice quatrefoil shape to it with some amazing reticulation work along the sides and a handle to each end. There is a panel to each side with a nice floral garland to the inside and a rose bud design to the outsideand lot of nice gold trim along the reticulation. My favorite part is that amazing large scene in the center of some roses and their leaves in different stages of bloom. Along the bottom edge is a gold leaf design with lots of tiny orange translucent jewel dots that one only sees on their best work from this period. The basket is in perfect condition but it does have an odd dark spot along the rim under the glaze just in the center inside above one of the panels. It's like some sort of color dripped down on it before it was fired but it was still deemed a first choice piece and I didn't even notice it until I wrote this decription. The piece is 2.25 inches tall with the handles, 9.125 inches wide and 6 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the red orb, their red anniversary mark for 1913 as well as the usual impressed and painter's mark as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
