Amazing Enamelled Box

This is a really amazing Art Nouveau / Jugendstil lidded box made by KPM in the late 19th / early 20th century. Probably the nicest piece in this style I have seen. The bottom part and lid have a blue ground color to it that has an iridescent sheen to it over which a design in gilding was applied much of it raised an which there are lots of applied enamel raised " jewels " as well as enamel flowers that are simply stunning. The center piece is a vase filled with flowers all done in these Seger raised translucent enamels that are the best there is in the procelain world. I don't want to know how many times this piece had to be fired to complete it but it is a masterpiece! The inside is an ivory color one often sees done on this type of ware. The design is intricate and stunning and it being done on that awesome blue ground - it really does not get better than this! And on top of it all the piece is in perfect condition. The box is 2.5 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter, the red orb mark, as well as an artist mark as shown plus the usual impressed marks of the period.
