18th Century Style Scenic Cup & Saucer

This is a really nice cup and saucer made by KPM in the 20th century in a style fitting much better into the 18th century. The cup is hand painted with a superb scene of a lady spinning some woold while sitting on a chair in a landscape surrounding. Nice black and gold trim around the scene and light blue and gold trim around the edges and the handle. The scene has Spinne noch lange (keep spinning for a long time) written in black above the scene of the cup and .... auch fuer (also for) on the saucer with a black silhouette of a lady painted in the center of the saucer which I assume is of the lady that gave the cup to her special someone. Great handle shape to the cup (my favorite!) which is from the classisim period of the late 18th century. The set is in perfect condition. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. Both are marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter as well as the red orb and various other marks as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
