Small Kornilow Teapot

This is a really fun little teapot made at the Korniloff factory around 1900. Likely a piece from a solitaire becuase of its size. The Kornilow company began exporting their wares around 1886 and it was distributed in the US by Tiffany & Co. This design is very typical for them and based on traditional Russian art. Nice geometric shapes mainly done in orange, yellow and black with some gold trim here and there. A fun design that is quite elegant. The lid has a little tower finial to it. My favorite part ohowever is that amazing and elaborate handle in the shape of a horse and the spout in some sort of animal shape probably a horse as well. The teapot is in perfect condition. The underside is marked as shown in the photos with the Kornilov brothers mark as well as the black number 47 likely the pattern number. The piece is 3.5 inches tall including the finial on the lid, 6.5 inches from handle to spout end and about 4.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
