Korniloff Russian Motif Cup & Saucer

This is an amazing cup and saucer made by Korniloff in the late 19th century. Not sure if this would be referred to as Gothic influenced like the famous Gothic Service of the Imperial factory at St. Petersburg or more meant to simulate cloisonné enameling but it is definitely a traditional Russian design. Either way the set is superbly hand painted with a colorful design including some raised gilding as well as two different designs - one with pink flowers with a raised enamel dot in the center and the other a light blue ground and gold design over a colorful faux enamel design with two different scroll designs in between. Hard to describe it so have a look at the pictures to get the real idea. The cup has the same type of design with another motif on a light blue ground along the bottom. Nice fancy gold trim to the inside rim of the cup. Hard to describe these types of pieces but they are beautiful!! The nicest cup & saucer set I have seen by this maker for sure. The saucer is in perfect condition but the cup ahs a tiny flake to the top edge not visible from the inside and so thin it is barely visible from the top. It was gilded over to hide it almost perfectly but it's there. The set displays perfectly! Both are marked with their mark as shown with the one on the saucer being on the rim not the center. Not sure why they did that. The saucer is 5.5 inches in diameter and 0.75 inches tall. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.625 inches.
