English Pattern 20 Cup & Saucer

This is a nice cup and saucer made by an unknown maker in about 1780. It is handpainted with a pattern known as pattern 20 on New Hall pieces but these are not New Hall and the design is slightly different with the umbrella being in the other hand, etc. Might be made by Keeling but I am not totally sure. The cup and saucer are handpainted with a superb Chinoiserie scene of two figures with one holding an umbrella with a vase on the right side and a fence (?) in the background. The colors are strong and the detail superb which makes this one elegant English set! Both pieces are in good condition with a bit of wear on the sacuer by the left figures feet and a little bit of crazing to the underside of both pieces to the glaze. The saucer has a tight rim hairline which is hard to find! The set is unmarked which is very common on English porcelain of this period. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 4.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
