Japanese Lobed Dish

This is a really nice lobed bowl dish made either in Japan during the Edo period or China during the Qianlong period. Had two experts tell me two different things so at least I am not the only one at a loss :) Either way it certainly dates from the mid 18th century due to the added gilding on it which was common practise then. I know very little about this stuff but really liked this piece! It has a great lobed shape to it and is nicely hand painted with under glaze blue flowers - a larger one in the center, four bigger ones along the rim with four smaller single flowers in between. Gold trim around the well edge and and brownish trim along the edge that also had gilding over it added but most of that has worn off again since. I think this style of decoration is known as Sometsuke in Japan not sure if it would ahve a name in China. Maybe someone out there knows more and can explain some of this stuff to me. I'd love to learn more about it. The plate is in great condition with just a small flat chip to the underside near the edge. it is round in shape and might have been a popped glaze bubble. There are numerous manufacturing flaws to the porcelain but no true damage. The dish is 1.625 inches tall and about 9.5 inches in diameter. It is unmarked which is fairly normal. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
