Italian Hunters & Dogs Figurine

This is a superb figurine most likely made in Italy about 1760. A superb figure of a hunter and a huntress on a fancy base with a large decorative column as well as two dogs. Might have meant to be a desk set / writing set / inkwell type piece as there is a round opening to the right side that is closed on the bottom and another opening on the left side that is open to the bottom. There are a lot of relief scrolls to the base and an opening under the scroll with water flowing out of it. The hunter is relaxing with his rifle by his side and smoking a pipe while the lady is standing in the backholding her rifle. Two dogs neat them. A thin tree behind the columns with some leaves and flowers along the top of the column and raised details to the sides. An extremely detailed and well modeled peice that I cannot seem to nail down in terms of maker. Definitely top notch! The piece displays perfectly but there has been some restoration done to it that was extremely well done. I think there was a break through the base through the hunters leg and column but I am not sure. There is a restoration to the tree bottom, the lady's bows, the pipe, rifle and some other parts but it might jsut be spray hiding the main restoration and nothing else. I am totally guessing as it wa so well done I cannot tell. Either ay it is an amzing piece and an early one. I'll figure it out eventually :) The figurine is not marked but that's not unusual. It is 5.5 inches tall, 8.375 inches wide and 5.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
