Italian Cream Colored Earthenware Figurine

This is a really nice and large figural group made in Italy in the late 18th century or ealry 19th century. Definitely italian but I am not sure as to the maker. I thought it might be Naples /Ferdinandea but the glaze is greenish in the thicker areas and that I ahve not seen on those pieces. It could also be Ferniani and the glaze does have that color where it pools on his pieces but the eyes of his work is different. Either way is a superb piece made of cream colored earthenware and after a sculpture done in marble. I believe it was a Roman statue of Greek type of Pan teaching Olympos, the blind shepherd to play the flute. Both are seated on a rock base with a lion skin cover. It could also be Pan and Apollo / Marsyas / Daphnis. The figure is very well modeled down to some superb detail including a tiny lizard on the rock base jsut under pan's hoof. Leaves covering strategic places. The piece is in amazing condition considering the age and fragile nature of this type of ceramic. One of the horns of pan seems to have been restored and a couple of minor glaze spots but all in all as nice as they come! I could not find another example at all even after trying for quite a while. The figurine is marked but it is hard to make out. It is definitely a script G. and then another letter . but I cannot figure out the second letter. Maybe someone out there knows more and could send me a note. The figurine is 13.25 inches tall and the base is 6.875 inches wide and 4.625 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
