Brown Ground/Black Scenic Saucer

This is a large saucer made in Italy in the late 18th or early 19th century century. I bought it as being French but the pate and the mark of the black number three does not fit and I am certain it was made by an Italian maker though I am not sure which one. It is made of hard paste porcelain and is decorated with this really nice chocolate / brown ground color with lots of nice gilding to the rim. The center has a black landscape scene with a person in it on white ground surrounded by a gold ring. A nice looking piece! The saucer is in great condition with just a inor touch of wear to the gilding mainly on the very edge and a few small black spots to the brown ground color in the open area around the scene plus a small chip to the inside fo the foot ring as shown. It displays perfectly. The piece is larger than the average saucer being just over 1.25 inches tall and 7.125 inches in diameter. Marked underneath with the black number 3 as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $199
