Italian Biblical Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made in Italy in the 18th century. I am unsure of the maker but certainly one of the top like Naples, Capodimonte or Doccia. It is decorated in the common fashion with relief figures based on biblical style scenes. Nicely handpainted with good detail and colors. Also a gold and black trim and a nice handle shape. Someone should be able to ID this set and I might too once I have the time to research. The cup is in great condition with a small rim blemish on the top outside edge. The saucer was broken in half with a section missing I believe. Hard to tell as it is completely overpainted and it seems to to have once been stable repaired which was removed when a more modern restoration was done to replace the older one. The cup and saucer seem unmarked but since the saucer is overpainted there might be something hiding underneath. The cup is 2.875 inches tall and in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
