Ilmenau Saucer

This is a saucer made by Ilmenau around 1800. One of the harder to find makers though they did make some really ncie things! Typical paste of the Thuringia area makers - slightly greyish - with a nice strewn cornflowers design so loved by the French around this time and a gold trim to the edge. Ilmenau existed from about 1777 until today unless the current economy did them in as well which I am not sure about. A fun and rare piece for sure in great condition with a little wear. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue line with a dot over it as well as an incised N or Z. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $179
