Hutschenreuther Wagner Signed Plaque

This is a superb porcelain plaque made by Hutschenreuther of Germany in the 19th century. It is hand painted with a nicely detailed portrait of a beautiful young lady wearing a hat with roses on it. A white flowing cloth comes down from the hat over her shoulder and she is wearing a red dress. A quality piece and not one of these modern or Italian copies! The portrait is all hand painted - no transfer outlines or such of the later lower quality pieces. The plaque comes in a gesso and wood antique frame that is stunning. The frame is in great condition with some minor issues. It does have an attachment in the back for an easel type piece in order to displayit on a flat surface but that part is missing - an easy fix if need be. The plaque itself is in great condition with a tiny flat chip to the bottom edge as shown. It is not visible when placed in the frame! The plaque is 3.125 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide. The frame measures 8.75 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide. The porcelain is marked with the impressed number 1 as well as a parital crown over shield Hutschenreuther mark as shown. It is signed by the famous artist Wagner who is the one painter everyone is looking for to have painted their piece. Please email me for more information or photos.
