Ringler Rose Plate

This is a soup plate made by Hoechst in about 1750. It is handpainted with a large floral arrangement in the center including a superb rose which looks to ahve been painted by Joseph Jakob Ringler one of the more prolific porcelain artists of this period. I have a few examples of his work in my books and this rose looks just like them and the other flowers as well. He was only at Hoechst from about 1751-1752 so that would date the piece perfectly. There are lots of smaller flowers scattered throughout as well and a brown trim to the edge. Nice shape to the porcelain as well. The plate is in superb condition with a bit of wear (mostly to the bottom ends of the flower stems of the floral arrangement) but about as good as one can hope to find and if it is painted by him which I am fairly sure of this is something very special! It is marked underneath with a six spoke wheel mark as well as an impressed 3 and 1 or something like that. The plate is 1.625 inches tall and 9.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
