Pot a Fard / Pommade

This is a neat lidded pot made by Hoechst during their early years in the 18th century. It is either a pot a fard or pommade ( a little container for either makeup or for ointment cream). The pot and lid are hand painted with some nice large floral arrangements with the lid also having a brown trim to the edge and a nice puce pine cone finial. Both are in great condition with a little green paint flaking off a leaf on one side of the main body and some use marks to the inside. The lid is a bit loose but definitely the original one. The entire piece is about 3.25 inches tall and 2.125 inches in diameter. The main body is marked underneath with the red wheel mark as well as an incised F as shown.
