Floral Coffee Pot

This is a coffee pot made by Hoechst in the 18th century. It is handpainted with a superb large floral arrangement on either side as well as some small foowers and leaves in between. Nice puce trim to the handle and spout! The finial on the lid is in the shape of an apple which is rather nice. It has some flowers painted on the lid and a brown trim to the edge. The pot is in great condition with the stem of the apple finial missing that connects it to its leaves. A really nice example with the flowers being just superb! The pot and lid are 9.25 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue wheel mark as well as incised IN.
