Early Reticulated Basket

This is a really nice reticulated basket made by Hoechst during their early year in the 18th century around 1760. It is made to look like intertwined sections on the outside with a reeded pattern in relief that seems to be only known by this maker. A handle to either side with a bit of green and gold to it and some gold trim to the edge but the best part I think are the little hand painted flowers all over the inside that look superb! A really nice basket that looks amazing! Amazingly it has survived the 250 plus years quite well and is in superb condition with just some wear to the gold trim on the edge and a tiny paint flake to a leaf. The piece is 3.125 inches tall including the handles, 9 inches wide and 7.25 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the red wheel mark only used early on and impressed letters IS.
