Hannong Floral Plate

This is a superb 18th century faience / majolica plate handpainted with a superb flower arrangement in the center and three smaller flowers on the rim made by Hannong of Strassburg (aka Strasbourg ) in France. It is just a great example and the flowers are much better than most faience plates one sees. Nice brown trim to the rim.  The piece is in great condition with one hairline from rim to blue flower that is stable. Some use wear underneath. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. Marked underneath with the H and a part of a number mark used by Hannong that is covered up by an old antique store sticker.
