Gustafsberg Scenic Saucer

This is a rare scenic saucer amde by Gustavsberg ( or Gustafsberg ) in 1893. Gustavsberg Fabriker was founded around 1827. Not much noteworthy happened here until the end of the 19th century. They were the only European maker outside of England to make bone china. Under the leadership of Wilhelm Kaege they finally produced their own style of items which were very good. Bernd Freberg seems to be the modeller of most of the good figurines. The saucer scene is of a lady in traditional costume (not sure of what area) sitting on a large rock with some trees around her. Nice gold ring around the center and fancy gold trim on the rim. The scene is of very high quality and definitely the nicest I ahve seen by them. Off course these are extremely rare and I have only seen a handful of their good quality pieces. The saucer is in superb condition with some very minor gold wear. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. Marked in red underneath with the word Gustafsberg and the year 1893. Also their imressed mark of an anchor with the factory name and the initials kta and the number 19 through all this is very hard to see and I might be off a bit.
