Gotha Sepia Scene Saucer

This is a saucer made by Gotha around 1780. It is another superb example of Gotha's work - it is in the classicism style and has a handpainted ruin scene in sepia (brown tones) on the inside of the saucer. Nice gold trim around the scene and on the rim. The piece is in great condition with a little wear and some tiny black firing spots. The saucer is marked underneath with the underglaze blue R mark as shown. The saucer is 4.875 inches in diameter and 1 inch tall. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $499
