Gotha Scenic Plate #2

This is a plate made by Gotha around 1860. Gotha is probably the best of the Thuringia makers in terms of quality of the paste and painting. They existed from 1757 until 1937 in one form or another. This plate is handpainted with a named scene of high quality and a nice gold trim. The title under this scene is Bachurach. Must be a town in Germany or an area. The plate is in super condition with a bit of gold wear. It is marked underneath with the impressed as well as the brown mark of a hen on a hill in an oval. The plate is 7.75 inches in diameter.
