Gotha Polychrome Floral Saucer

This is a nice saucer made by Gotha in the late 18th century. Gotha is probably the best of the Thuringia makers in terms of quality of the paste and painting. This saucer is hand painted with a nice floral arrangement in the center as well as five single small flwoers along the rim with a gold trim to the edge. Superb quality of painting. The saucer is in great condition with some wear to the gold trim and a few tiny impurities to the paste. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue R.g. mark as well as a blue line along the edge and an impressed mark as shown. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5 inches in diameter.
