Doccia G Mark Cup & Saucer

This is a demitasse cup and saucer made by Doccia / Ginori in the 19th century. The cup is decorated with biblical or mythological scenes in relief all around that are hand painted very nicely. It has a twisted branch handle with leaves at the ends and the saucer is decorated with floral garlands connected by a nice shell design. Nice gold trim to the rims. The set is in perfect condition. The saucer is marked with the common crown over N mark copied so often by other makers from this original (and often msitakenly called Capodimonte )as well as two incised lines. The interesting mark and one I ahve not seen before is underneath the cup - A capital G with a star above it in udner glaze blue. The cup is 1.75 inches tall and about 2.625 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.75 inches tall and 4.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
