Ginori Lidded Relief Scene Cup & Saucer

This is a lidded cup and saucer made by Doccia / Ginori in the late 19th century. The cup is decorated with biblical or mythological scenes in relief all around that are hand painted very nicely. It has a red coral branch handle and the saucer is decorated with floral garlands connected by a nice shell design. The lid also has the raised figures to it with a gold rim, is fully gilded on the underside and has a figurine serving as the finial. The set is in great condition with the cup and saucer being perfect and the lid has a chip to ksotly the udnerside rim and the head of the finial has been reglued as shown. It displays perfectly and is quite nice plus the lid is very hard to find. The cup and saucer are marked with the common crown over N mark copied so often by other makers from this original with the cup also having an incised number 5 near the foot ring. The cup is 3 inches tall and about 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is just under 1 inch tall and 6 inches in diameter. The lid has a diameter of 3.125 inches and is about 2 inches tall.
