Egyptian Large Bowl

This is a rare large bowl made by Doccia / Ginori in the 20th century. It is decorated with a famous decoration designed by Gaetano Lodi between 1873 and 1875 for the Egyptian Khedive (Viceroy during the Turkish occupation) which looks quite stunning and is definitely very Egyptian :) A fancy design is on the bowl's inside side wall with a red, yellow, blue and gold design alla round the inside rim, another red, yellow, green and blue design to the entire outside rim and a red, yellow, black and gold ring design to the foot. I could not find many pieces at all from this set - only a few cups, etc. and none for sale 'only' in museums. I think the Khedive it was made for was Isma'il Pasha aka Ismail the Magnificent (December 31, 1830 – March 2, 1895) who was the Khedive of Egypt from 1863 until he was removed in 1879. Like I said a very rare design with at the least some nice history attached to it. The bowl is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath as shown. This dish is 4.25 inches tall and 10.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
