Studentika Pipe Bowl #2

This is a porcelain pipe bowl made in Germany in the 19th century - 1834 to be exact. More than likely made by Nathusius / Althaldensleben and a piece of studentika that was given from one person to another as a gift. It has Waencker seinem v. Rotteck and 1834 written on the back in black script. The front has this amazing hand painted armorial / coat of arms design to it. Probably a family coat of arms of the receiver of the pipe. The design is quite nice in mainly blue and now black which was probably silver at some point that has oxidized. The design has a knight's helmet in the top center with a lion holding an anchor above it with another lion holding an anchor in the shield part of the design. The pipe is in great condition but it was used and is a bit dirty inside and on the bottom stem. It used to have a lid and the mounts are still there but the actual lid is missing as shown. It is 4.75 inches tall and just under 1.375 inches in diameter. It is marked with the impressed number 8 which I believe is a size reference as well as the blue line across the bottom end known to be the mark for Nathusius.
