Schloss Pyrmont Scenic Cup & Saucer

This is a great scenic cup and saucer made in Germany in the early to mid 19th century. Most likely in the Thuringia area of Germany. The cup is hand painted with a scene of the Castle of Bad Pyrmont - not all that far from whre I grew up. I remember the city from when Iw as a kid. The scene is well painted with the rest of the cup having a light salmon colored ground with some nice gilding to it. Same decoration on the saucer. The cup is marked only with an incised script N - same on the saucer. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 3.75 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and has a diameter of 5.875 inches. Both are in good condition with some minor wear to the center of the saucer, the writing under the scene has some wear and the gilding on the inside of the cup is worn. The writing under the scene states Fuerstliches Schloss Bad Pyrmont as far as I can make it out. Please email me for more information or photos.
