Madonna Scene Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer set made in Germany around 1800. The cup is nicely handpainted with a very good quality scene of the Madonna and her child framed with some gilding. Some nice gold trim to the edges and handle as well. The saucer has a little gold trim and Zum Andenken in the center - kind of saying remember me so it must have been a present most likely. The set is totally unmarked but it is likely from the Thuringia region looking at the style. The cup is 2.875 inches tall (plus the handle) and 3.325 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5.75 inches in diameter. The set is in great condition with a little wear to the gold trim on the saucer but it is minor. Please email me for more information or photos.
