Porcelain Handle with Silver Blade

This is a cute little butter or fruit knife with a porcelain handle that was most likely made by Royal Vienna of Austria in the late 18th century or possibly a touch later . The blade is a replacement so it is on much nicer condition than it would have been. It is a very nice sterling silver blade made by J.E. Caldwell & Co. The porcelain piece is nicely hand painted with some flowers, has a nice puce trim on some relief designs and the porcelain tip is gilded. The piece is in perfect condition. The knife is about 7.375 inches long of which 3.25 inches is visible porcelain. The handles are 0.75 inches at the widest part. The porcelain is not visibly marked but the Sterling silver blade is marked as shown. Please e-mail me for more information or photos.

Price is $249
