German Large Figure

This is a nice and large figurine made by a German maker in the late 19th or early 20th century. Might be Passau or Bock Wallendorf. I could not find this exact mark but I am fairly sure it was made by one of these two makers byt the look of the piece. The figure is of a Roman soldier looking gentleman sitting next to a lady wearing a helmet with another helmet by his feet as well as a globe in front of them. There is a horse to his side and a putto behind him. Large tree in the back all on a nice base with some greenery painted on it and gold scrolls to the front. The style of the figure is older than the piece is. It looks great and is nicely modeled with lots of detail and hand painted quite nicely. The figurine displays nicely but has a few faults - the tip of the putto's bow as well as both tips of the scepters the other two are holding are dmaged and restored with an odd round top. The ears of the horse are chipped though that is not obvious at all. Damage to the leaves of the tree which is a given and possibly a branch tip or two. Hard to tell. All in all in very nice condition given the age and size and it displays very well. It's a nice figurine! Marked underneath with the script L in a shield under a crown in under glaze blue as shown. The piece is about 13.5 inches tall, 8.75 inches wide and 7.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or photos.
