German Dog Scene Brooch 1

Dog Scene Brooch This is a superb porcelain plaque made into a pin / brooch made in Germany in the 19th century. The plaque is hand painted with a scene of a dog relaxing in a landscape surrounding. It is of very nice quality and mounted in what I believe to be silver though I cannot find any markings. The outer part of the mounts has a rope like design to it that looks very nice. The pin part looks to have possibly been added later or fixed at some point. Thepiece is in superb condition with a few minor scratches.The quality of this piece is superb! The visible part of the plaque is 1.75 inches wide and 1.375 inches tall. The entire piece is 2 inches by1.625 inches. The porcelain is marked with an impressed number as shown. Could date to before silver hallmarks were always used in terms of the age of the porcelain. Neither the porcelain nor the frame appears to be marked.
