Erfurt Scene Cup

This is a great scenic cup made in Germany in the early 19th century. In terms of the shape of the handle it could also have been made in the Paris region of France. Either way is is hand painted with an amazing scene in sepia colros that covers more than half of the cup of the city of Erfurt ( a city in the Thuringia region of Germany) including the Dom (a type of church). A very detailed high quality scene including the church plus many other buildings plus the space in front with lots of soldiers marching and a superb horse drawn coack riding in the front. The scene is surrounded by a simple gold frame with more gilding to the top and bottom fo the cup as well as the handle. The scene is named in the bottom part of the gold frame with the tooled words - Der Dom in Erfurt. The cup is in excellent condition as shown. No issues other than some super minor age related marks. The peice is not marked except for some sort of impressed mark impossible to make out - as shown. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter.
