Angel Plaque

This is a fun porcelain plaque made in Germany in the later 19th century. It depicts two angels leaning on a cloud after the famous painter Raphael. Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino was an Italian Renaissance painter. Sometimes you find each angel alone and sometimes you find them as a pair together on one plaque. Not exactly a rare design but still really nice. The frame in this case is not exactly great but it works. I'd update that for sure. The plaque is completely hand painted and of nice quality! The plaque is in superb condition with one tiny black firing spot on the cloud under the angel on the right. Displays perfectly. The frame is probably brass but looks more like copper in some spots. Like I said I'd update that one. The porcelain piece is 5.125 inches wide and 3.75 inches tall so a nice size. The frame is 7.5 inches wide, 5.875 inches tall (plus another 0.875 inches for the hanger) and about 0.5 inches thick The porcelain is marked with an impressed latter K and number 12 as shown. Definitely German from this period! Please email me for more information or photos.
