18thC German Scenic Lid

This is a nice porcelain lid made in Germany in the 18th century. If I had to guess it was probably made by Frankenthal but hard to tell. Any number of the smaller makers could have done it including Ludwigsburg and Hoechst . The shape of the lid is domed and it was likely for a small coffee pot. The piece is hand painted with a nice harbor scene to one side with three small flowers and a single tiny leaf filling in the rest of the area. Gold trim to the edge and a fruit / apple finial with its leaves to the top. The lid is 1.375 inches tall including the finial and 2.5 inches in diameter. The ring that sits inside the pot has an outer diameter of 2 inches. The piece is in great condition with the stem of the finial missing and a flat chip to the outside of the inner ring as shown. An unglazed spot on that inner ring as well from when it was made. Unmarked which is the norm but definitely German from this period. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $249
