Ansbach Bird Scene Saucer

This is a nice saucer made most likely by Ansbach and definitely in the 18th century in Germany. The piece is hand painted with a superb polychrome bird scene to the center as well as three small puce flowers in the space around it. Simple gold trim to the edge. The scene has a bird perched on a branch with a little landscape scene underneath. Very well done! Ansbach started making porcelain around 1758 and the factory flourished from 1758 through 1777 after which it closed somewhere around 1860. The factory was already in private hands since 1807. The saucer is definitely German and from the 18th century and I am pretty positive it is by them. The dish is unmarked except for an impressed letter M as shown. It is 1.25 inches tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is in great condition with some very minimal wear to the gold trim. Please email me for more information or photos.
