Gera Set

This is a super rare treat. A solitaire made by Gera around 1780. All pieces are handpainted with puce scenes of ruin landscapes surrounded by gold trim. An amazing little set. Gera is very similar to Gotha except the porcelain paste is not very good. Lots of flaws and bumps. Quite charming though and extremely rare. The set is in great condition with a hairline in the sugar dish. The set is marked with an underglaze blue G mark and an incised PM underneath the creamer. The teapot is a bit under 5.5 inches tall.
