Pair of Gardner Faience Plates

This is a pair of faience (or some other type of ceramic) plates made by the Gardner / Moscow factory in the mid to late 19th century. The plates are very well painted with a nice floral arrangement in the center and three smaller flowers on the rim. There is also a relief floral design to the rim of the plate as well as a brownish trim line. They are 1.375 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. The plates are in pretty good condition with a bit of glaze flaking on the rim and some paint flaking to the flower in the center. Both are marked underneath with the impressed Tapahepz ( Gardner in Cyrillc letters ) as well as with the St. George killing the dragon mark. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
