Gardner Empire Style Saucer

This is a superb saucer made by Gardner / Moscow in the early19th century. This style I am more used to seeing from Paris makers but it was definitely made by them in this case. The saucer is handpainted with a superb Empire period design including vases, weapon and musical instruments in alternating panels of a pink and brown ground color deived by gold trim. Nice gold design in the center of the well. The saucer is in great condition with some wear as shown which one can overlook given the rarity of the piece. It is marked underneath with the blue G mark except here is looks more like a C which is not uncommon and is even shown in all the marks books. Definitely a Russian piece and not French. Different paste which gives it away. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
