Sugar Shaker #2

This is very rare sugar shaker / caster / muffineer made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century around 1770. It has a nice decorative shape to it with a superb hand painted floral arrangement to the front, a large flower to the back and a small flower on each side. The top is made to look like an artichoke with a little finial with some puce highlights to it. The artichoke part has lots of holes pierced into it for the sugar to come out of. It is in amazing condition with some tiny chippig around some of the pierced holes from the making and some minor use marks to the clear glaze but no chips, restorations or other issues and the flowers are superb! As good as it gets! The cork that was originally in the bottom is long gone which is no big deal. The pot is marked with the under glaze blue script F mark as shown as well as some impressed marks. The piece has a nice size to it being 6.625 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $999
