Polychrome Miner Figurine

This is a figurine of a miner mady by Fuerstenberg in the 20th century. They are quite famous for this series of figures and they are often left in the white but here we have a muchr arer polychrome version. The miner is using a pickaxe to break the rocks down. He is well dressed with the traditonal hat on. Very well modeled and hand painted. The figure is in great condition with the back end of the handle by his hand having been broken and reglued. Displays perfectly and it is sadly a common issue on this figurine! The piece is 6.5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide and 5.625 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue script F mark with the crown over it with a number one next to it, the number 37 printed in red which is likely a painter number and handgemalt in red which means hand painted.
