Diana w/ Dog Figurine

This is a great figurine of the goddess Diana made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. An early piece that is modeled superbly and larger than many pieces one finds. Diana was the goddess of the hunt among other things. The figure is of a semi nude Diana with her dog holding a bow and a spear with the quiver of arrows on her back. The piece displays nicely but has some expected damages. The spear is missing though I ahve also seen her with an arrow instead in that hand, the bow mostly missing and the corwn in her hair i smissing the half moon piece in the front though that is not obvious at all. An unglazed spot to the top of the base likely where the spear touched the base and was ground down a bit. All in all in good condition given the age and nature of the piece. The figure is 11.5 inches tall, about 5.75 inches wide and 4.75 inches deep. The piece is marked with an under glaze script F mark in blue as well as a number 7 and the usual impressed / incised marks as shown. One looks like a small script f with a D in the bottom end. I think she was modeled by the famous Simone Feilner . I also own the matching Mercury figurine. Please email me for more information or photos.
