Figural Salt Dish #2

This is a second figural open salt or spice dish made by Fuerstenberg in about 1765 to 1770 - if you would like a pair of them here is your chance :) This is the earliest version I have seen of this style dish and I am not sure where exactly it originated as one sees the KPM version much more often. It is very nicely modeled and left in the white to show of the detail. There is a figurine of a putto in the center with a bowl on either side held up by a nice base with three feet. The piece is in superb condition for such an old piece with just a few small black firing spots and firing impurities inside the bowls mostly which makes sense. The piece is 5 inches tall, 5.375 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. It is marked with the underglaze blue script F mark underneath as well as an incised 4 and script F. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
