Yellow & Gold Blotter

This is a nice blotter for your desk set/ inkwell set made by Fuerstenberg in the mid 20th century. The piece has a decorative knob to the top in the shape of a crown and the middle flat part has a nice yellow color to it with white edges and a bit of gold trim. It has a very mid century modern feel to it. One does not see yellow all that often on porcelain since I believe the color is derived from gold which makes in rather expensive. The bottom part is made of wood. Normally this sort of item comes apart to add the blotter paper but this one here does not. It is a bit loose so the wood and knob move together slightly and maybe that makes one be able to add the blotter paper. Different design I guess. Not sure. Not sure if the porcelain piece is marked underneath since it does not come apart but it came with the inkwell and its tray which is marked with the blue F under a crown mark. The entire blotter is 3 inches tall, just under 5.5 inches long and 3 inches wide. It is in good condition with a bit of wear to the gilding. A really nice and rare piece! It displays perfectly!
