Very Early Floral Plate #2

This is a very early plate made by Furstenberg during the very beginning of their existence during the 1753 to 1755 period. It is hand painted with a superb floral arrangement in the center with four small flowers filling the rest of the well area, three more flowers along the rim as well as one leaf covering a firing flaw. The rim has a nice shape to it and a basket weave relief design to the edge. The porcelain paste is extremely white and thickly potted reminiscent of very early Meissen in terms of the color. The plate is marked with a very large underglaze blue F mark underneath as well as an incised B.2. It is 1.25 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. The plate is in great condition with some small nibbles along the very edge that are shown in the pics from both sides if applicable. A few firing issues common to early pieces but all in all about as nice as one can hope for after 250 plus years! Please email me for more information or photos.
