Scenic Tray

This is a tray made by Fuerstenberg in the mid 19th century. It is one of my favorite pieces since it reminds me of home. I was born only a few minutes from the place pictured in this scene. The bend in the river Weser. This tray has a handpainted scene in the center of the Fuerstenberg castle - the site this piece was made at. Surrounded by flowers and gold trim and it is even titled underneath Fuerstenberg! The tray is in superb condition with very minor wear to the gold in a spot or two. Mostly on the handles. It is of good size being 1.5 inches tall, 13 inches wide and 10 inches deep. Marked underneath with the blue script F mark used around 1860-1870 as well as incised letters FR. Please email me for more information or photos.
