Teacaddy

This is a lidded tea jar made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. It is handpainted with a nice orange floral arrangement on the front and back as well as some smaller flowers on the sides and the lid. Nice peach colored trim with gilding on top of it to top edge here and the bottom edge of the lid. Floral finial to the lid. It is not common to find the original lid on these at all and the condition of this piece is superb with just one small chip to the lid edge. The piece is marked with the underglaze blue F mark on the rim which would be covered by the lid. Also udnerneath No2 which is a size reference. It is 5 inches tall, 3.75 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep. Sold a long time ago hence the different style pictures but it was worth having it on the site as a reference. Please email me for more information or photos.
