Pierrot Figurine

This is a figurine of Pierrot from the commedia dell'Arte series made by Fuerstenberg in the 18th century. Very typically modeled wearing the pink top with the large collar and gold buttons and a black hat while standing on a typical base for this maker highlighted with puce trim. Nicely hand painted as well. The figure is marked with a faint script F mark on the underside as shown. The piece is in great condition with the tiniest of chips to the hat edge colored in so hide it perfectly. Two small brown firing spots near his crotch area from when he was made. The commedia pieces are rather hard to find and really fun to own! The figurine is just a touch more than 4.625 inches tall, about 2 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. This is from the smaller series - there is also larger version of this series amde by them! Please email me for more information or photos.
